Becky Ofrane, DrPH, is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Montclair State University, public health consultant, and certified full-spectrum doula. Dr. Ofrane was the 2024 recipient of the American Public Health Association Maternal and Child Health Effective Practice Award. 

Her academic research focuses on cross-cultural maternal health and data-driven policy, perinatal environmental health, and public health pedagogy. She has worked in public health for nearly 20 years, and brings population and individual-level perspectives to her work. As a full-spectrum doula, she offers expert guidance and a holistic approach to education and birth support, which in turn informs her teaching, research and service.
